Who Uses the Habit Control Intermittent Fasting Lock?

🥗 16:8 Intermittent Fasting
Set no-access windows to match your eating schedule - for example, restrict fridge access between 08:00 PM to 12:00 PM(noon the next day). The app blocks unlocking during those hours, helping reduce reliance on willpower alone.

⏰ 12:12 & Custom Fasting Plans
Set any no-access window that fits your routine - 12:12, 14:10, or fully custom schedules. Program once, runs automatically every day.

👫 Couple & Family Fasting Together
Assign different roles - Admin manages the schedule, Guest follows it. Mom follows her 16:8 plan while Dad keeps override access if needed.

🎯 Solo Self-Control Mode
Enable strict mode - even you cannot override the lock. Your fasting schedule becomes a fixed rule with zero exceptions.

🌙 Nighttime Routine Support
Block fridge access after 8 PM to support consistent evening routines and reduce mindless late-night snacking.

🧘 Mindful Eating Windows
Use scheduled access to bring structure to your meals - a practical tool for those looking to be more intentional about when they eat.

🏠 Roommate Fasting Accountability
Share access rules with a roommate or partner - everyone follows the same schedule without confrontation.

How It Works

  • Simple physical barrier: Create a clear boundary between you and tempting food, snacks, or sweets. Use the app to set rules for when your fridge or snack drawer can be opened - the lock follows your schedule.
  • Automated fasting schedule: Set precise no-access windows for your food and snacks. Whether you follow 16:8, 12:12, or a custom plan, the app automatically enforces your schedule. Program once - runs automatically every day.
  • Share & assign roles: Grant admin(full functionality) or guest(only simple lock/unlock, can't set or open earlier timer or schedule) access to family and friends via email. Admin has full control and can manage schedules and override timer. Guest follows the assigned plan without overriding the schedule - can't unlock during no-access windows.
  • Self-control mode: When enabled, the lock cannot be overridden - even by the admin/owner. Your fasting schedule becomes a fixed rule. Perfect for strict fasting plans.
  • App-controlled via Bluetooth: Works with iPhone and Android cell phones. Does not work with laptops, tablets, smart watches.
  • Built-in virtual test lock: Experiment with your fasting rules in the virtual lock before applying them to real food. Test different schedules to see what works best for you.

It also supports manual lock/unlock and timed locking with individual timer.

Flexible Installation for Fasting Zones

  • Fits refrigerators, freezers, cabinets, or drawers
  • Non-damaging adhesive - removes cleanly with a hairdryer
  • Optional screw mount for permanent, high-control setups(don't use screws for refrigerators)

Battery & Smart Power Control

  • Powered by 1× CR123 battery (included)
  • Up to 12 months or 1,000 unlocks per charge
  • Real-time battery level shown in the app
  • Optional auto-unlock on low battery - enable or disable in app settings

FAQs

frequently asked questions

Will it fit my refrigerator?

The lock is compatible with most single-door and double-door refrigerators, as well as cabinets, drawers, and pantry doors with a suitable mounting surface.

What should I do if I lock my phone in a cabinet or drawer equipped with Habit Control lock?

Our smart lock doesn't open on its own; to access your storage, you still need a smartphone. All you need to do is open the Habit Control app on any other phone, sign in to your account, and open the box.

What happens if my phone runs out of battery?

The lock settings, timer, schedule remain active. You'll simply need a charged compatible smartphone to connect to the lock again.

Can I open the lock with a tablet or laptop?

No. Unfortunately, at the moment the app is only designed for phones.

Can I test the app before buying the lock?

Yes. Every account includes a virtual test lock with full functionality.

Can I override the Habit Control timer or schedule?

Our timer or schedule can be set with the self-control feature turned on or off. This means that you can set the timer for someone else and still have the ability to unlock the lock, or you can set it for yourself for self-control.

What can I do if the application isn't working as expected?

We're sorry for any trouble with the app. Give restarting the app or your phone a shot, as it often does the trick. If the problem hangs around, try refreshing the Bluetooth connection. Need more help? Reach out to our friendly support team.

Does it work without Wi-Fi?

Yes. Wi-Fi is not required. The app requires an internet connection, which can be provided through either mobile data or Wi-Fi, while the lock connects to your phone via Bluetooth.

Can multiple people use the same lock?

Yes. You can share the lock with family members or roommates by granting Admin or Guest access through the app.

Do I need to drill any holes?

No. The lock can be installed using adhesive tape. Screws are included for optional extra security.

Will it leave marks after removal?

The adhesive may leave minor residue depending on the surface, but it can usually be removed with common household cleaners.
