Manual for Habit Control Cabinet Lock

In this manual we will provide info about adding a cabinet lock to your Habit Control App and we also will show you how to set up a lock into your furniture (cabinet or drawer)

Ensure a stable internet connection.

If you encounter issues or glitches, try closing and reopening the app(wait 5-10 seconds before reopening), maybe even reload your phone. Deleting and re-adding the lock also can help.

If it is possible to remove the battery, remove it and put it back to reset the device.

Deleting the lock from the app may resolve your problem.

Step 1 (APP installation)

Add a lock to Habit Control App.

Scan the QR code below or go to IOS or Android store to download the Habit Control App. Create your account.

Step 2 (Add a device)
Make sure that the battery has been installed inside the lock
Open the app Habit Control app, tap "Add device" to add your device.

To search for nearby devices, you need to grant access to geolocation and turn on bluetooth. If you have not yet completed these steps, the application will offer to do so after clicking the "+ Add device" button.

Step 3 (Scan a device)
Place the code (Mac Address) in the frame as indicated in the instructions on the phone.

If the lighting is bad or the barcode is not very clearly visible, you can use the flash. Click on the “Flash” button to control the flash. After successful scanning of the code, proceed to device search.

You can also add a device with "search device" or "Enter MAC address" options.

Your mac address can be found on a device, near the bar code.

The search is carried out among devices that are nearby by MAC address. If you cannot find or connect to the device, it may already be connected to another user (only one user can connect to the lock because of bluetooth limitation), has a low charge level, or you are out of bluetooth range. If the device is not found, retry the search by clicking the "Try again" button.

If the lock was found, it is necessary to give it a name for further identification. To do this, enter the name for this lock in the window that appeared on the screen and click "Confirm" to confirm.

Set up a lock into your furniture

Step 4
Connect the lock’s base to the latch.

 

Step 5
Stick double-sided tape to the lock.

Step 6
Remove liner and align it with the cabinet’s sideline.

Step 7
Close the cabinet and gently press to stick the latch.

Step 8
Unlock the lock with your phone and open the cabinet. If the lock opens easily, use a pencil to mark positions.

Step 9
Detach the lock and clean the surface of your furniture with some alcohol swab or (isopropyl) cleaner, but don't erase the marks.

Step 10
Attach the lock with strong (constant) tape at the previously marked position. Wait 24 hours for a stronger bond.

Alternatively

If, after that, the lock does not hold firmly, it must be fixed with screws because the surface is not suitable. Please pay attention to the thickness of the furniture wall.
