USER GUIDE

Simple & Timer Modes

Lock/Unlock - simple control of the lock through the mobile app.
Timer Mode - you can lock the cabinet or fridge for a chosen time (for example, 2 hours).

⚠️ After the timer ends, the lock does not open automatically. Instead, it switches to “ready to unlock” mode, and you can open it with your smartphone.

Schedule Mode

This mode lets you pre-set specific hours when the lock cannot be opened.
Example:

  • Locked: 12:00 AM – 9:00 AM
  • Unlocked: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Locked: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM

In this example, the lock can only be opened between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

👉 You can create unlimited time intervals (events).

Self-Control Feature

An extra safeguard against opening the lock before you’re supposed to.

  • IF YOU SET A TIMER:

Self-Control OFF → you can open the lock at any moment, even before the timer ends.
Self-Control ON → the lock will only open after the timer is finished.

  • IF YOU SET A SCHEDULE:

Self-Control OFF → you can disable the schedule at any time and open the lock.
Self-Control ON → you can only disable or change the schedule during the “allowed” hours.

Example:

You set an eating window from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

  • If it’s 10:00 AM → you can turn off or edit the schedule.
  • If it’s 10:00 PM → the schedule cannot be disabled, the lock stays closed.

Sharing Access with Others

You can share access to the lock with family members or friends and assign different permission levels.

User Roles
  • GUEST
    Can only lock/unlock.
    Cannot set timers or schedules.
You can limit the number of unlocks:
    1) Once — single use.
    2) Many — multiple uses.
  • ADMIN
Almost full access (can set timers, schedules, and manage users).
Cannot remove the lock from the system.
  • OWNER
Full control, including the ability to remove the lock from the system.

Use Cases

  • Intermittent Fasting

The lock keeps your fridge or cabinet off-limits outside of your eating window.
With the Share feature, the fridge can stay locked for you but remain accessible to someone else in your household.

  • Kids at Home

Parents set timers or schedules and give children only Guest access.
Thanks to the Share feature, parents (as Admins or Owners) can override timers and schedules when needed, but kids cannot.

  • Shared Spaces

Limit unlock attempts for guests. For example, allow one guest Once, and another Many.
