Yes. We also offer hidden installation version of our lock. It is compatible with most kitchen cabinets that have a suitable mounting surface. You can also watch our video guide to see compatible furniture types.
No. The lock can be installed using adhesive tape. Screws are included for optional extra security.
The adhesive may leave minor residue depending on the surface, but it can usually be removed with common household cleaners.
Yes. Every account includes a virtual test lock with full functionality.
Yes. You can simply use it as an app-controlled Bluetooth lock or create a one-time timer whenever needed.
Yes. You can create different no-access windows for different days of the week. For example, you can use one schedule for weekdays and another for weekends.
When enabled, no one - including Admin users - can unlock the lock early. The lock can only be opened during allowed access windows or after the timer expires.
If the schedule was activated with Self-Control Mode enabled, no. The schedule cannot be edited or disabled during a no-access period. You can make changes only after the current no-access period has ended.
It depends on whether you set the timer with the self-control feature enabled or not. If you turn it on, you can't add time; if it's off, you can turn off the timer and reset it to the desired time.
Our timer/schedule can be set with the self-control feature turned on or off. This means that you can set the timer/schedule for someone else and still have the ability to unlock the lock, or you can set it for yourself for self-control.
No. Guest users cannot change schedule or unlock outside the allowed access window.
Yes. Wi-Fi is not required. The app requires an internet connection, which can be provided through either mobile data or Wi-Fi, while the lock connects to your phone via Bluetooth.
No. The lock does not open automatically. When the timer expires or a scheduled no-access period ends, simply unlock it manually using your smartphone
Yes. You can share the lock with family members or roommates by granting Admin or Guest access through the app.
Admins can manage settings, schedule, and timer (unless Self-Control Mode is enabled). Guests can only lock and unlock when access is allowed and cannot change schedule or unlock early.
The lock settings, timer, schedule remain active. You'll simply need a charged compatible smartphone to connect to the lock again.
Habit Control features an optional Auto Unlock on Low Battery function. When enabled, the lock automatically unlocks if the battery reaches a critically low level, helping prevent accidental lockouts.
No. Removing the battery will not unlock the lock. The lock remains locked, and both the timer and any scheduled access settings continue running.
No. Unfortunately, at the moment the app is only designed for phones.
Our smart lock doesn't open on its own; to access your storage, you still need a smartphone. All you need to do is open the Habit Control app on any other phone, sign in to your account, and open the box.
